The M/V Commander's home port, Haverstraw Marina, is located in West Haverstraw, NY, which is on the west bank of the Hudson River about mid-way between the Tappan Zee Bridge and the Bear Mountain Bridge. Our other ports of call are Peekskill, NY, located on the east bank of the Hudson, five miles south of the Bear Mountain Bridge, and West Point, NY, on the west bank, three miles north of the Bear Mountain Bridge. All locations are about one hour's drive from the George Washington Bridge.


Directions to Haverstraw Marina, West Haverstraw
(Home port - Haverstraw Marina, 616 Beach Road #A, West Haverstraw, NY 10993)

VIA Palisades Parkway:
Take Palisades Parkway to Exit 15 direction Stony Point.  Go 3 miles to Route 9W (T junction).  Turn left on 9W (north) for 1/4 miles to traffic light.  Turn right on East Main Street go about 1 1/2 miles. After passing under conveyer belt, the road will make a turn to your left, about 300 yards after that  boat will be dock on the left but you park in the boat yard to the right, across the street for the boat.  This is the only place you are allowed to park.   

From North:
Take Route 9W South to traffic light at Stony Point. Turn left on East Main Street 1-1/2 miles. Pass under conveyor belt, then continue 300 yards.  M/V Commander is on the left, parking is on the right.

 

From South: DO NOT FOLLOW ANY HAVERSTRAW FERRY SIGNS.
Take Route 9W North to West Haverstraw. Turn right after Samsondale Plaza on Railroad Avenue for 1-3/4 miles. Pass sign "Haverstraw Marina," approximately 300 yards. M/V Commander is on the right, parking is on the left.

Directions to Peekskill Riverfront Green Park
Hudson Avenue Exit, Peekskill, NY 10566
 
From South:
Take Route 9 North to Peekskill. After going under two bridges, take exit "South Street -Hudson Avenue." Make a left turn onto Hudson Avenue. Cross railroad tracks. Park to the right in the park. The dock is right is front, across the grass, just north of the Peekskill railroad station. Do not drive onto the grass.

From North:
Take Route 9 South to Peekskill. After "Main Street" exit, take next exit marked " Lower South Street - Hudson Avenue." Turn right on Hudson Street and keep straight crossing railroad tracks. Park to the right in the park. The dock is right in front, across the grass, just north of the Peekskill railroad station. Do not drive cars onto the grass.   Permit parking does not apply on weekends, park in any spot.

From East:
Take Route 202 or Bear Mountain Parkway to Route 9, then follow directions "From North." Or take the train to Peekskill Station.  The Commander boat is a 5 minute walk north of the train station.

Directions to West Point, South Dock 
Willams Road, West Point, NY 10996

From South:
Take Route 9W North or Palisades Parkway to Bear Mountain Bridge Circle. Go 2 miles north on Route 9W, then take Route 218 through Highland Falls to West Point. After Hotel Thayer, take first road right, "Williams Road," downhill. Cross railroad tracks. Park North of "South Dock."


From North:
Take Route 9W south. Take exit to "West Point/Highland Falls." Proceed to West Point gate. Enter and pass Hotel Thayer. At stop sign, take right onto "Williams Road." At bottom of hill, cross railroad tracks. Park north of "South Dock."
